Listed prices are per unit, not per stack
For anything sold in bulk, the listed price is for one unit. Multiply by the quantity before you know what you will actually pay.

The trap people hit most
Sort a market by price ascending without accounting for quantity and the top of the list fills with bulk stacks — which looks like the cheapest thing on the market and is nothing of the sort.
Consumables bought in quantity are where this bites hardest. A price in the hundreds against a stack of several thousand turns into hundreds of thousands, or millions, the moment you click buy.
Most listings are not stacks
Most of what is for sale is a single item, where the listed price and the price you pay are the same. That is exactly why the trap is easy to miss — and expensive when you do.
How to avoid it
Read the quantity before the price. If it is greater than one, multiply first.
Everywhere this site shows the price of a stack, the stack total is printed underneath the unit price.
